Town Board: Adoption of Local Law #3 of 2017 - At its June 15, 2017, meeting, the Ancram Town Board adopted Local Law #3 of 2017 (Land Subdivision Regulations), which updates, repeals, and replaces the entirety of the Town’s existing land subdivision regulations, which were adopted as Local Law #1 of 2015. Local Law #3 ensures consistency with Local Law #2 of 2017 and with the goals of the Town of Ancram Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Law, and NYS Town Law.

Town Board: Adoption of Local #2 of 2017 - At its June 15, 2017, meeting, the Ancram Town Board adopted Local Law #2 of 2017 (Highway Construction Standards), which identifies and consolidates in one document design and construction standards for public and private roads and for driveways and common driveways in the Town of Ancram. This local law repeals and replaces the entirety of the Town’s previously existing highway construction standards and thereby complements and accomplishes goals of the Town Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Law, Subdivision Regulations, and NYS Town Law.

Public Notice

Town Board: The Town of Ancram is soliciting applications for the position of Day Camp Director for the Ancram Kid's Camp. Interested applicants should submit a resume and letter of interest outlining relevant prior experience. A day camp director must be at least 21 years of age, have at least 24 weeks of previous administrative or supervisory experience in camping or equivalent experience, and must pass a NYS State background check. The Ancram Camp runs for approximately 6 weeks from July 6 to August 28. The Camp Director will be expected to attend the Camp Director Update held by Columbia county on April 18th, 9 to 12, and the day camp councilor training for all camp councilor staff, which will be held at Columbia Greene Comm. College on June 13 from 9 to 12. The Camp Director will be responsible for all aspects of planning for and running the camp, including setting up camp facilities, hiring camp counselors, processing applications from campers, participating in the review process to award camp scholarships and managing the day to day activities of the campers.
